Pilot terms

The rules, exactly.

Everyone who joins gets the same deal. The gift card has conditions, and they are all here.

Who can join
  1. 1You live in the US and you are 21 or older.
  2. 2You sign up with the Instagram account you post from, and it is your own. We check every registration.
  3. 3Your Instagram account is public, so we can see your post and your follower count.
What counts as your post
  1. 4One Instagram reel or story, posted from the account you signed up with.
  2. 5A reel uses a ManyChat comment automation that DMs your own pilot link to anyone who comments your keyword, and its caption asks people to comment it.
  3. 6A story has a Link sticker carrying your own pilot link.
  4. 7It tags @startyourvillage.
  5. 8It stays up for at least 24 hours.
  6. 9It goes up within 7 days of finishing your chat with Milo. A reel or story posted after that does not qualify for the gift card.
  7. 10You upload a screenshot of it in your kit. For a reel, it shows the reel with its caption and tag. For a story, it shows the Link sticker.
The gift card
  1. 11Your Instagram account has 10,000 or more followers on the day we confirm your post.
  2. 12One $50 Amazon gift card per person and per Instagram account.
  3. 13We send it to the email address on your Village account, after the team has confirmed your post.
  4. 14We may decline a post that does not meet these rules, or an account whose followers do not appear genuine.
Everything else
  1. 15Amazon is not a sponsor of this promotion.
  2. 16We may change or end the pilot at any time. A post we have already confirmed keeps its gift card.

The short version, as the app shows it: "Open to US residents 21 and over. One $50 Amazon gift card per creator with 10,000 or more Instagram followers, sent after we confirm your post. Amazon is not a sponsor of this promotion."

Questions

What creators ask us.

How much of my time is this?

A few minutes to sign up and chat with Milo, and a few minutes to post. There is no call before you get the link, and nothing to learn.

What does it cost?

Nothing. Joining also gives you six months of membership, free.

Do I have to put the link in my bio?

No. Post a reel with ManyChat, or a story with your link on a Link sticker. Neither needs your bio, and a story needs no ManyChat.

I have fewer than 10,000 followers. Can I still join?

Yes. You still get your link, your story images, Creator Studio and six months of membership. The $50 gift card is for accounts with 10,000 or more Instagram followers.

When does the gift card arrive?

After someone on the team has checked your post. It goes to the email address on your Village account, so make sure that one is right.

What do my followers see about me?

Where they line up with you, based on what you both told Milo: lifestyle, values, personality. They see you the way you described yourself, not anything scraped.

What do I see about them?

What your people have in common, as a group. Not individual profiles, and not a ranking of anybody.

I already have a Village account. Can I join?

The pilot signup registers new accounts. If you already have one, get in touch through support and we will sort it out.

Something is not working.

Creator Studio has a Need help? form that goes straight to the team. You can also reach us through support.

Support is at thevillageapp.com/support. Membership is covered by the app's terms and privacy policy.

The better you know each other, the better all of it gets.
